"Tokunbo" — Yoruba shorthand for "from across the sea" — is how Nigerians describe foreign-used cars imported into the country. They sit between brand-new (expensive) and locally-used (higher risk of wear) and they're the sweet spot for most buyers: lower mileage for their age, better-maintained service history, and a market price that makes sense for everyday Nigerian use.

Every Tokunbo car on this page has been physically inspected by us before listing. We disclose customs status and duty payment status upfront — if a car is "customs cleared, duty paid", that's marked on the listing and the documents are available for review at inspection. If a car is still in the clearing process, we say that too. No surprises after deposit.

We source primarily from the US (Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Ford), the UK (Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover), and Canada (Hyundai, Kia). Each vehicle is checked for accident history at origin where records exist, and a Nigerian mechanic review is offered as part of the inspection process. You can also bring your own mechanic — we don't filter who looks under the hood.

Delivery is available nationwide. We coordinate logistics to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Enugu, and other major cities. Delivery quote is shared on inquiry and depends on distance and route. Reservation requires a deposit; the deposit amount and reservation window are set per car and confirmed on WhatsApp before any transfer.

Each Tokunbo listing states whether customs has been cleared and duty paid. Cars still in transit are marked accordingly so you know what you're buying.
